Well here it is, another month later. And a crazy one it was. Just as I thought things were gettin better…Bam, I was hit with the crud that was going around. Started with a sore throat then turned into a sinus issue, loss of my voice, an insistant caugh and of course a fever. So off to the doctor we went. They weren’t sure if they should treat it as a bacterial infection or a viral infections so we attacked it from both ends with medication for each. Unfortunately, things got worse before they got better and some of the meds caused some horrible and painful side effects. Long story short, after two weeks of mostly being in bed, I’m back on the mend again. Yeah. Still have to be carefull and remember not to go full force right away.Before I got sick, we went thru a lot of stuff in our garage and house and let the boys get a chance at earning some extra money by having a garage sale. 2 days of constant people and bartering and we still had loads of stuff to haul off to the goodwill when we were done. Hopefully that will help me on my road to becoming a “reformed” packrat. Organization is the key. It was hard to get rid of some of the kids old books and toys though. So much memory there.Things in Vegas are getting worse economy wise. There were more layoffs all over town in the construction industry and unfortunately, my husband was one of them. So back at home he is. It’s good for taking care of me and getting honey do’s done but not so good for the pocket book. So I’ve been crunching the numbers and cutting where we can. Tightening the old belt so to speak. But I suppose everyone is doing that around the country. It’s tough all over.Anyway…..I could probally make this a book if I keep going so I’ll stop here before I bore you and try to write shorter but more often. Love ya all. Have a great weekend.
